Fritz Kuchler, Sr., sets up a retail business.

1954
He changes it into a sales agency and becomes the sole agent for a German machine manufacturer in Carinthia and Upper Styria.

1963
Fritz Kuchler, Jr., takes over the family business with five employees.

1968
His vision of machines for producing ready-to-serve cold cuts without being touched by hand becomes reality. The first electronic components are used for volume production. Development in his own R&D department.

He unveils the world’s first electronic food slicer: VSe prototype (Alpha 1 electronic vertical slicer).

Kuchler Electronics starts shipments of electronic slice depositing systems to a leading German group.

New Kuchler plant inaugurated in Klagenfurt near the airport.

Development and volume production of the Kuchler slicer range under the brand name of S.A.M.

Innovation: S.A.M. T-Pak with integrated packaging module.

New building in Klagenfurt completed.
Innovations: The S.A.M. 410 f can also process extra-large products, such as mortadella and prosciutto. The S.A.M. Film Dispenser automatically cuts individual sheets of plastic film from a roll.

Innovation: The price labeling system (PAZ) can be connected to the scales with the IP Box.
New customers: Karstadt (Rewe Group), Kaufhof, Famila, Marktkauf, Globus. Cooperation agreement with Mettler for service in Germany. Kaufland: S.A.M. Slice&Pak machines in model store in Regensburg.

Real (Metro Group) equips key outlets with S.A.M. Slice&Pak systems, also Future Store 2.0, the future model store in Tönisvorst.
