Fritz Kuchler, Sr., sets up a retail business.

1954
He changes it into a sales agency and becomes the sole agent for a German machine manufacturer in Carinthia and Upper Styria.

1963
Fritz Kuchler, Jr., takes over the family business with five employees.

1968
His vision of machines for producing ready-to-serve cold cuts without being touched by hand becomes reality. The first electronic components are used for volume production. Development in his own R&D department.

1971
He unveils the world’s first electronic food slicer: VSe prototype (Alpha 1 electronic vertical slicer).

1972
Kuchler Electronics starts shipments of electronic slice depositing systems to a leading German group.

1976
New Kuchler plant inaugurated in Klagenfurt near the airport.

1984
Development and volume production of the Kuchler slicer range under the brand name of S.A.M.

1985
Kuchler Electronics GmbH established.
Kuchler Electronics Deutschland GmbH established.

1990
Kuchler Electronics receives the City of Klagenfurt innovation award for the S.A.M. slicer range.

Kuchler Electronics Benelux BV established.

Exclusive agreement with Hobart for supplying S.A.M. slicers to the United States (3100 / 3100 C product line).
Company formed: Rent a Chalet (Kuchler Group)..

Contract with Berkel for supplying VA/TA product line.

Kuchler Electronics receives the City of Klagenfurt innovation award for the C.A.S. computer-aided slicing, depositing and packaging system.

Kuchler Electronics CR s.r.o. established.

Kuchler Intelligent Solutions (KIS) established (Kuchler Group).

Kuchler Electronics Schweiz GmbH established. The SamPak brand penetrates the market.

Distribution expanded in Germany and Switzerland. S.A.M. Slice&Pak systems gain market shares.
Innovation: S.A.M. compact slicing and packaging system S.A.M. K.

Construction starts for renovating and expanding Kuchler Headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Klagenfurt. Slice&Pak at Extra Future Store 1.

Innovation: S.A.M. T-Pak with integrated packaging module.

2006
New building in Klagenfurt completed.
Innovations: The S.A.M. 410 f can also process extra-large products, such as mortadella and prosciutto. The S.A.M. Film Dispenser automatically cuts individual sheets of plastic film from a roll.

2007
Innovation: The price labeling system (PAZ) can be connected to the scales with the IP Box.
New customers: Karstadt (Rewe Group), Kaufhof, Famila, Marktkauf, Globus. Cooperation agreement with Mettler for service in Germany. Kaufland: S.A.M. Slice&Pak machines in model store in Regensburg.

2008
Real (Metro Group) equips key outlets with S.A.M. Slice&Pak systems, also Future Store 2.0, the future model store in Tönisvorst.
