KUCHLER

FOUNDER & INVENTOR

The Kuchler Group was founded by entrepreneur and inventor Fritz Kuchler (1940 – 2019). At the age of 23, he became the youngest general representative of Bizerba. Since his youth, Fritz Kuchler has had an intensive insight into the problems of the users of slicers – from the butcher to the saleswoman. This has resulted in numerous ideas for improvements and the vision of a slicer that slices deli automatically without the touch of a hand.

Fritz Kuchler recognized the potential in electronics to realize his vision. In 1971, he launched the world’s first electronically controlled slicer. It builds the foundation for the establishment of the modern company with an extensive development department, its own production in Austria and sales with his brand S.A.M.

Since 2018, the siblings Valentina Kuchler and Constantin Kuchler continue the family business in the next generation.
